At Foundations Christian Academy, we believe every child is uniquely created in the image of God with incredible purpose and potential. The FALCON Program™ (Faith Alliance Learning Connection of Neurodevelopment) is a Christ-centered neurodevelopmental model designed to support the foundational skills necessary for learning, regulation, confidence, and independence.
The FALCON Program™ was originally developed by Merlene Byler, founder of Faith Academy, over 17 years ago through years of hands-on experience serving children with learning differences and neurodevelopmental challenges. What began as a deeply intentional approach to helping struggling learners has grown into a transformative model impacting students and families across multiple educational settings.
At Foundations Christian Academy, we are honored to be the first school outside of Faith Academy to implement the FALCON Program™ as an integrated part of our campus culture and educational philosophy.
FALCON is not a separate classroom or pull-out intervention. It is woven into the daily rhythm of our school through intentional neurodevelopmental supports, movement integration, sensory strategies, relational connection, and individualized accommodations designed to help students thrive academically, socially, emotionally, physically, and spiritually.
A Neurodevelopmental Approach to Learning
Many children struggle in traditional educational settings not because they are incapable, but because their brains process and respond to information differently. The FALCON Program™ seeks to strengthen the underlying neurological foundations that impact learning, regulation, attention, processing, and emotional well-being.
Our approach is especially beneficial for students with:
-
Autism Spectrum Disorder
-
ADHD
-
Dyslexia and other learning differences
-
Sensory processing challenges
-
Executive functioning difficulties
-
Developmental delays
-
Anxiety and emotional regulation challenges
-
Students who simply learn differently

What Makes FALCON Different?
The FALCON Program™ combines strong academics with intentional neurodevelopmental support strategies within a nurturing Christian environment. Students participate in activities and supports designed to strengthen brain and body integration, including:
-
Neurodevelopmental movement activities
-
Primitive reflex integration
-
Midline-crossing exercises
-
Sensory regulation supports
-
Visual tracking and processing activities
-
Rhythm and timing-based interventions
-
Adaptive PE and movement stations
-
Executive functioning supports
-
Trauma-informed and TBRI-informed practices
-
Individualized classroom accommodations
Rather than viewing challenges simply as behavioral or academic deficits, we seek to understand the underlying needs of the child and provide tools and supports that foster growth, healing, confidence, and connection.
A Whole-Child Mission
The FALCON Program™ reflects the heart of Foundations Christian Academy: to provide a Christ-centered education that recognizes the God-given worth, design, and potential of every child.
Our students are known, loved, and supported by educators who understand neurodivergent learners and are passionate about helping children flourish. Families often come to FCA after experiencing discouragement in traditional educational environments and discover something different here — a place where children are celebrated for who they are while being equipped for who they can become.

Academic Excellence with Individualized Support
Foundations Christian Academy serves both neurodivergent and neurotypical students in a structured, supportive environment that values academic excellence while recognizing individual learning needs. Through the FALCON Program™, students are equipped with strategies and supports that allow them to access rigorous academics while growing in confidence, independence, and emotional regulation.
Many families report growth in:
-
Confidence and self-esteem
-
Emotional regulation
-
Attention and focus
-
Social interaction
-
Classroom participation
-
Communication skills
-
Academic success
-
Independence and daily functioning
More Than a Program
The FALCON Program™ is more than an educational model — it is a mission rooted in faith, hope, restoration, and the belief that every child is capable of extraordinary growth when provided with the right environment, support, and encouragement.
